Artificial Intelligence

The University of Texas at Austin has unveiled an ambitious strategy to establish itself as a world leader in Artificial Intelligence by focusing on four key areas: Teaching and Learning, Student Experience, Operations, and Research.

Coming Soon: UT Works | Phase 2

Phase 2 will focus on optimizing the functionality of the Operations & Maintenance (O&M), Capital Planning and Project Management (CPPM), and Request Forms (ReADY) modules implemented in Phase 1.

Official Student Email

Starting in the Spring and Summer of 2025, the University of Texas at Austin will begin using the University provided email as the official email address for all current and future students.

Past Projects

UT Works | Phase 1

UT Works is a new system that helps the University manage physical spaces, improve mission-critical services, provide better data for capital projects, and streamline workflows. It aims to engage leadership and users in business process improvements for better services. Phase 1 was completed on November 5, 2024, with the launch of UT Works.

Next Generation Network Program

This project addressed data network issues identified through both internal and external reviews. The university has contracted WTC, a small firm specializing in higher education, to perform an evaluation and analysis of its current IT network, which provides Wi-Fi and internet access to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and guests.
