Upgrade Your UT EID

Your UT EID (University of Texas Electronic Identifier) is your personal login for all things UT Austin. Students will use it to access important University services like registration, financial aid, and campus resources. Upgrading your EID gives you full access to everything you’ll need throughout your time at UT.

Register for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) adds an extra layer of security to protect logins. At the university, we use Duo, a MFA service. To get started, the first step is to enroll your device using your UT EID.
