Access Your Account
Get a UT EID
To get started at UT Austin, you first need a UT EID, also known as University of Texas Electronic Identifier, this is your personal login for all things UT Austin.
Setup Duo
Duo provides Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for your UT EID, adding an extra layer of security beyond your password. All students must enroll in Duo before accessing University services.
To get started, enroll your device using your UT EID, follow the steps in the knowledge article above.
Get Your Student ID Card
Visit the link above to upgrade your UT EID and submit a photo online for your UT ID Card. Once your card is printed and ready, you will receive a confirmation email.
Pick up your UT ID Card after receiving your confirmation email at the ID Center on the main floor of the FAC building.
Connect to Campus Technology
Connect to Campus Wi-Fi
Get connected to the University utexas Wi‑Fi network, available to current students. You can access the wireless network on phones, laptops, and other devices across campus. To connect, select utexas from your device’s Wi‑Fi settings and log in with your UT EID and password. Visit the knowledge article for steps to get started.
eProxy Setup
Learn about UT’s eProxy system Through eProxy, granters can authorize you to make web payments, view tuition bills, add funds to Dine In Dollars or Bevo Pay accounts, and check housing bills and Dine In Dollars balance and transactions. Visit the eProxy page to get started.
VPN Access
The University of Texas VPN provides secure access to campus desktops, file shares, and other on-campus resources when you are working away from campus. It uses Cisco AnyConnect and requires Duo multi-factor authentication, use the link above to learn how to setup your VPN access.

Learning & Productivity
Canvas LMS
Manage coursework, assignments, grades, and course communication with Canvas, the University’s centrally supported learning management system (LMS), where students can access course materials, submit assignments, and communicate with instructors. Sign in to Canvas to access courses.
Microsoft 365
Microsoft 365 (M365) is the official productivity suite for Longhorns, providing UT Austin students with free access to essential communication and productivity tools. Your M365 account includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Copilot Chat, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook. Visit the M365 page to learn more on what is available in the productivity suite.

Panopto is a video platform for accessing course recordings, lectures, presentations, and other instructor-provided content. Zoom
Zoom is a video conferencing platform for online classes, meetings, and collaboration. Integrated into Canvas, Zoom makes it easy to join virtual lectures, connect with instructors and classmates, participate in office hours, and collaborate on group projects from a computer, mobile device, or web browser. Manage Your ID Card
If you have a lost or stolen ID card, visit the link above that takes you to the Support Center to report your card lost or stolen. Here you will also be able to request a replacement card.
Campus Computer Store
Visit the Campus Computer Store, conveniently located in the Flawn Academic Center. It offers students, faculty, and staff academic discounts on Apple, Dell, and Lenovo products, as well as software discounts and accessories. In-store services include computer repair, trade-in, and warranty services for most computer brands. UT alumni are also eligible to purchase computers, tablets, and accessories.
UT Print
Print from any campus location using the UT libraries print system. Visit the link above to get your files printed.

Walk-Up Support
In-person help at the Enterprise Technology Support Center in the Flawn Academic Center (FAC). Bring your laptop for hands-on troubleshooting. Open M–F 8am–5pm.
