Getting Started in Canvas Guide

Request a Sandbox

A sandbox course allows you to test Canvas features in a safe environment. In your sandbox course shell, you can add files, create quizzes, etc. and easily copy content into your official course when you're ready.

UT Austin has enabled a curated set of Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI-connected) tools inside Canvas. These appear natively in your course — no separate login required for most. The tools made available below have been approved by our Information Security Office (ISO) to ensure student data is protected.
