Dave leads a team that supports enterprise infrastructure, platform, and application services, including cloud infrastructure, on-premises server virtualization and storage, identity and access management, database services, web services, mainframe and administrative systems, collaboration platforms, application hosting and delivery platforms.
Dave joined the University of Texas at Austin in 2008 as an IT Project Manager. In this role, he led several campus-wide efforts, including the implementation of a new learning management system (Canvas), a new student email service (UTmail powered by Google), and a new central web hosting service (UT Web). In 2014, he moved into the first of a series of leadership positions supporting critical campus-wide infrastructure and services before transitioning into his current role as Director in 2019.
Dave is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and has worked in information technology for over 25 years. He holds an MS in Computer Information Systems from Northwestern University and a BBA in Management Information Systems from Ohio University.
