How AI Turned an Idea Into Action

September 8, 2026

For Carson Kramer, AI has become a powerful tool for learning and exploration. As a civil engineering student and AI Studio student associate, he uses AI to better understand complex concepts, accelerate research, and approach challenges with greater confidence. Rather than replacing learning, he sees AI as a responsive tutor that helps break down difficult topics and makes knowledge more accessible.

One project demonstrated that potential firsthand. Despite having no coding experience, Carson used AI to teach himself how to build a website focused on reducing furniture waste and connecting reusable items with local nonprofits. What began as an idea became a months-long learning journey, showing how AI can empower people to pursue projects they may not have otherwise attempted.

Today, Carson uses AI to synthesize large amounts of information, streamline studying, and learn new skills more efficiently. His advice to others is simple: start using the tools. By experimenting, asking questions, and exploring real-world applications, students can discover new ways to learn, create, and solve problems.
