Canva for Students Updates + Canva for Faculty and Staff Coming This Spring

Campus Solutions, Engagement & Experience, Enterprise Learning Technology, Operations

Canva is an easy-to-use design platform that helps you create stunning visuals in minutes — from social media posts and presentations to flyers, and videos. By implementing Canva, the university aims to empower students, faculty, and staff with the resources they need to enhance creativity, digital literacy, and collaboration across disciplines. Since Canva was implemented for all students on the University of Texas at Austin campus in mid-October, there have been 15,153 student accounts created, 79k+ designs created and 144k+ published. We’re planning to launch Canva for Faculty and Staff in March 2026. Licensing fees will apply to faculty and staff; student access remains free. More information on licensing and availability is coming soon.
