Associate Vice President of Enterprise Initiatives & Instructional Technology
Matt Meyer serves as Associate Vice President for Enterprise Initiatives & Instructional Technology for Enterprise Technology at The University of Texas at Austin where he leads efforts that connect the University’s technology-enabled learning ecosystem, including Canvas LMS, instructional design, learning spaces, digital accessibility, and faculty and research engagement. He also supports enterprise-level transformation programs that advance teaching, learning, and campus collaboration.
Meyer brings extensive experience in higher education technology leadership. Prior to joining UT Austin, he served as Deputy CIO at Tarleton State University, advancing the IT Strategic Plan and modernizing the Client Services organization—including the Service Desk, desktop support, and classroom instructional technology. He previously held roles at Northeastern University, the University of Chicago, and The Pennsylvania State University, building expertise in instructional design, online learning, and large-scale IT operations. His work includes establishing the Center for Digital Accessibility at the University of Chicago, leading a transition from Blackboard to Canvas, and supporting institutional integration efforts at Northeastern. He began his career leading e-learning initiatives at a number of private companies such as PricewaterhouseCoopers and InfoLogix before moving into higher education and is a published author and frequent EDUCAUSE presenter.
